What?
The ACT Writers Centre is non-profit association dedicated to serving readers and writers in the ACT and surrounding region.Members include authors, poets, children's writers,  journalists, editors, proofreaders, teachers and academics. Anyone who writes, for business or for pleasure, will enjoy our workshops, newsletters, services and events.

Each year the centre organises a number of Writers Festivals around various themes.

In 2009?

Festival of Fiction Saturday 10 - 11 July 2009.

Festival of Poetry Saturday 13 14 November, 2009

Where? The 2009 Fiction Festival (in collaborations with the ASAL conference) will be held at Gorman House and will cover all fiction genres. The Poetry Festival will be held at Gorman House and will include a Poetry Slam, a Poets Lunch, workshops and panel sessions.
